Tappt® Health Terms of Service

Last updated: September 25th, 2026.
1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Synchronyx, LLC ("Synchronyx," "we," "us") about your use of Tappt®. Tappt® includes:

  • The Tappt® mobile app

  • The Tappt® web app

  • Secure program links sent to you by text or email, including Linkt™ programs

  • Tappt® smart labels and cards

Programs differ. Some support your medications. Others focus on check-ins and support during a course of care, without involving medications. These terms apply to the parts of Tappt® your program uses.

By creating a Tappt® account, or by signing in to a program link for the first time, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have read our Tappt® Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Tappt®.

2. Tappt® does not provide medical care

Read this section carefully. It is important.

Tappt® helps you keep track of your medications and stay connected with your care team. Tappt® does not practice medicine, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace your doctor, pharmacist, or care team.

  • Always follow the instructions from your doctor, pharmacist, and care team. If anything in Tappt® is different from what they told you, or from your prescription label, follow them, not Tappt®.

  • Do not start, stop, or change a medication based on Tappt®. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist first.

  • Your care plan in Tappt® is entered by your care team. It may not be complete or current. For example, your care team may not know right away if your doctor changes or pauses a medication.

  • Reminders may not arrive. Notifications depend on your phone, your network, and your settings. Do not rely on Tappt® alone to remember your medications.

3. Tappt® is not for emergencies

Tappt® is not monitored around the clock. Messages, check-in answers, and missed dose reports may not be seen right away, and in some programs no one reviews them.

If you have an urgent health concern, call your care team or 911. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988.

Never use Tappt® to report an emergency.

4. Who can use Tappt®

You may use Tappt® if you are 18 or older. A parent or legal guardian may use Tappt® for a minor only where the minor's care program allows it and the parent or guardian agrees to these terms.

Most people use Tappt® through a care program run by a health system, clinic, pharmacy, or health plan. Your program decides which Tappt® features are available to you, including reminders, check-ins, messaging, and trusted contacts.

5. Your account

You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code we send you.

You agree to:

  • Give accurate information and keep it current

  • Keep your phone and your account secure

  • Not share your access with anyone else

  • Tell your care team promptly if your phone number changes, if you lose your phone, or if someone else may have access to your account

You are responsible for activity in your account. If you think someone else has used it, contact your care team or support@synchronyx.com.

6. Text messages and notifications

When you create an account or join a program, you agree to receive messages about your care. These may include reminders, missed dose alerts, check-in notices, messages from your care team, and sign-in codes.

  • Mobile app: most notifications come as push notifications.

  • Web app and program links: notifications come by text message.

  • Message rates: your carrier's message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by program.

  • Stopping texts: reply STOP to any Tappt® text to stop all texts, including sign-in codes and program links. Reply START to turn them back on. Some programs require reminders, so you may not be able to turn reminders off inside the app.

Our texts to you do not include health information. They contain a link to a secure page.

7. Recording your doses

If your program includes medications, Tappt® records the doses you report, by tapping a label, scanning a QR code, or entering them in the app. Tappt® does not detect whether you actually took a medication.

Your adherence score is based on what you record compared with what your care plan lists. Your care team may use this information to support you. Because the information comes from you, it may be incomplete or inaccurate, and it is not a clinical measurement.

8. Smart labels and cards

If your program uses them, Tappt® labels and cards are provided through your program.

  • Once a label is linked to a medication, it belongs to that medication and dose, and it cannot be reused for another.

  • Put the label only on the medication it is linked to.

  • Labels and cards are for use with Tappt® by the person they were given to.

  • Do not modify, copy, or attempt to reverse engineer a Tappt® label or card.

  • When you finish a medication, throw the label away with the empty package.

9. Check-ins, messages, and trusted contacts

Check-ins. Your program may send you questions about your health and your care. Answering is your choice. In most programs a care team reviews your answers, and in some programs answers are collected for research only.

Messages. If your program offers messaging, use it only to communicate with your care team about your care. Do not use it for emergencies.

Trusted contacts. If your program offers this, you may invite a family member, friend, or caregiver to receive text updates about your doses. By inviting someone, you confirm that you want that information shared with them and that you understand text messages are not encrypted. Updates may include the name of a medication. You can remove a trusted contact at any time, and they can stop updates by replying STOP.

10. Research

Some programs are part of a research study. Taking part in research is voluntary and always requires separate consent. Accepting these terms does not enroll you in a study. Declining a study does not affect your use of Tappt® or your care.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Tappt® for anything unlawful

  • Use someone else's account, or let someone else use yours, except a parent or guardian permitted under Section 4

  • Interfere with the security or operation of Tappt®

  • Attempt to access data that is not yours

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of Tappt®

  • Use Tappt® to send harmful, abusive, or misleading content

We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or if your program ends.

12. Our rights

Tappt®, including the app, web app, labels, designs, and the Tappt® name and logo, is owned by Synchronyx and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms give you permission to use Tappt® for your own care, and nothing more.

13. Your information

Our Tappt® Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. If you joined through a care program, your program's records are governed by that organization's privacy practices and by our agreement with them.

14. Ending your use of Tappt®

You may stop using Tappt® at any time. You can disconnect from your care team or delete your account in the app. What happens to your information afterward is described in the Privacy Policy.

We may end or suspend your access if your program ends, if you violate these terms, or if we stop offering Tappt®. Where we can, we will give you notice.

15. Disclaimers

Tappt® is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • Tappt® will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free

  • Reminders, alerts, or notifications will be delivered, or delivered on time

  • Information in your care plan is accurate, complete, or current, since it is entered by your care team

  • Information you record is accurate, since it comes from you

  • Your use of Tappt® will improve your health or your medication adherence

Nothing in Tappt® is medical advice, and Section 2 of these terms applies in full.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Synchronyx and its officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising from or related to your use of Tappt®. This applies even if we were told such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to Tappt® is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Tappt® in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Tappt® is usually provided to you at no cost through your program.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or personal injury where the law does not allow a limit.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

17. Indemnification

You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, for claims brought against us that arise from your misuse of Tappt®, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights.

This does not apply to claims arising from our own acts or omissions, or from your ordinary use of Tappt® as intended.

18. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

Any dispute relating to Tappt® or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you and Synchronyx agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.

If you have a problem, please contact us first at privacy@synchronyx.com. Most issues can be resolved without a formal dispute.

19. If you downloaded Tappt® from an app store

If you use the Tappt® mobile app, these terms are between you and Synchronyx, not Apple or Google. The app store provider is not responsible for Tappt®, for supporting it, or for any claim relating to it. Apple and Google may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries. You also agree to follow the app store's own terms of use.

20. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions about Tappt®, we may use them without any obligation to you.

21. General terms

Electronic communications. You agree that we may send you notices about Tappt® electronically, including in the app or by text or email.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.

No waiver. If we do not enforce part of these terms, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.

Severability. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Entire agreement. These terms and the Tappt® Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Synchronyx about your use of Tappt®. If your care program gave you separate terms, and they conflict with these on a point specific to that program, the program's terms control for that point.

22. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the updated version with a new date. If a change is significant, we will ask you to accept the new terms the next time you open Tappt®. If you don't accept them, you can stop using Tappt®.
